Payment
An initial, non-refundable deposit will be secured at the time of booking confirmation. Accepted credit cards are Visa and MasterCard.
The balance is to be paid directly to the supplier on arrival. The Supplier accepts cash, credit card (Visa and MasterCard) and EFTPOS (a 2.5% transaction fee applies to all card payments). A credit card imprint is required as security.
Cancellation Policy
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition to forfeiting your deposit, the following charges also apply:
Cancellation 28 days+ prior to pick-up date - No fee
Cancellation 11 to 27 days prior to pick-up date - 20% of Gross Total
Cancellation 10 to 7 days prior to pick-up date - 50% of Gross Total
Cancellation 6 day or less prior to pick-up date or No-show -100% of Gross Rental
There is no refund for late pick up or early return of vehicle.
Amendment to bookings
A compulsory surcharge of $25.00 will be applied for amendment for confirmed bookings.
Hours of Operation:
We service all flights at the Brisbane International and Domestic Airports. We will personally meet you upon arrival and take you to your vehicle located just outside the terminal. We do not run a shuttle bus service.
Standard Office Hours:
Monday-Sunday: 7am - 6pm
After Hours: All rentals that commence after 6pm and before 7am Monday to Sunday will attract a $50.00 after hours fee. As we service all flights at all Airports in South East Queensland, this fee contributes towards additional costs.
Christmas Day Surcharge:
Should you wish to collect or return your vehicle on Good Friday, Christmas day (25th December) and New Years Day, a surcharge of AU100.00 will apply. This is a compulsory charge and if you do not select it (from the extras menu) at the time of booking it will automatically be added to your final balance, payable on arrival.
One-way rentals:
Returns are available at Gold Coast Airport (Cooloongatta) and Sunshine Coast Airport (Maroochydore) for rentals of 6 days or more, at a cost of $60.00. Please select ‘One Way Fee’ on your booking request if you required.
Drivers License:
We ask that you produce a current Australian, overseas or international drivers license that has been held for a minimum of three years and reflects the equivalent of an open class license. The minimum age is 21 years. Please note that PO Boxes or mail bags are not acceptable in Australia as an address or place of abode. Please include residential address.
Age Restrictions:
If you are aged 21-24 years (must hold a full/open drivers licence) or over 75 years, a compulsory surcharge of $10.00 per day is applicable. Please select this option during the booking process. If you do not select this at time of booking it will automatically be added to your final balance payable on collection. Note that the excess increases to $5000 for all restricted drivers.
Additional Drivers:
Any additional drivers aged between 25 and 75 years who hold a full drivers licence must be nominated on the rental agreement and an additional fee of AUD3.00 per day applies. This fee is compulsory and if not selected at the time of booking, will be automatically applied to your balance on arrival.
All additional drivers must be nominated and the appropriate box selected at the time of making your reservation. Failure to select this option will result in the appropriate fee of $3.00 per day for the duration of any hiring automatically applied and payable on the commencement of your hire.
Customers who nominate additional drivers are responsible for ensuring they have selected the correct options at making the time of their booking as any refusal to pay the additional applicable fees at the time of commencement of your hiring will be considered a termination of your rental agreement and you will be held accountable for the full balance of the booking.
Additional drivers between the ages of 21-24 and over 75 will be charged the equivalent age restriction surcharge of $10.00 per day.
Who Is Permitted To Drive The Vehicle: Only those nominated at the commencement of hiring and upon payment of the appropriate fees are permitted to drive the rental vehicle. Any driver not nominated who is involved in any incident will void any insurance cover including excess protection.
Rates:
Are subject to change without notice. All vehicles may not be available at all times and geographical driving restrictions may apply. Similar models may be substituted. Please enquire for full details on rates and conditions.
Taxes:
GST is included in all prices.
Fuel: It is a condition of hire that the vehicle be returned with the same level of fuel as when the hire commenced to avoid additional charges.
Child Seats:
Approved child seats are available. Baby seats and booster seats are available for a flat rate of $30.00 each per rental.
GPS Navigation Units: GPS navigation units are available for a flat rate of $30.00 per rental.
Toll Pass:
$30.00 flat rate with unlimited use – As many toll roads in South East Queensland are now cashless Action Rent A Car are proud to announce an option to supply a toll pass for the duration of your rental for only $30.00 giving you unlimited use and, more importantly, eliminating any fees/fines/charges. All customers are encouraged to take a Toll Pass as we currently have 8 toll points which a incur a charge each way. Each unpaid toll incurs a $40 administration fee plus the original infringement notice of up to $140.00.
Maps/Street Directories: Action Rent A Carprovides street directories which cover Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast free of charge but in the event that you do not return it with the vehicle a $50.00 replacement charge will be applied.
Non smoking:
All vehicles are 'Smoke Free' and if smoking is detected a cleaning fee of $100.00 will be charged.
Infringement Notices:
Any infringements will be passed onto the hirer of the vehicle plus an additional administration fee of $100.00 per infringement will be charged for any Traffic Fines or Parking Infringements. A $40.00 administration fee per infringement will be processed for any toll evasions.
Insurance:
Subject to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement being met, comprehensive insurance cover is included in the daily rate, subject to an excess for the first incident or any damage arising from the hire. The excess may be reduced by payment of an excess waiver fee (ref below). In the event of a second incident or further damage the excess will revert to the standard applicable excess as below. Any accidents or damage to the rental vehicle must be reported immediately to Action Rent A Car and an accident report form, located in the glove box, should be completed at the time and supplied to Action Rent A Car. Failure to do this may result in forfeiture of any insurance cover.
Single Vehicle Excess: In the event of any damage as a result of a single vehicle incident, however caused, the applicable excess defaults to the standard excess rate as below. This excess may be applied at the discretion of management.

NB: If you hire the 7 seater SUV, please be aware that it can be utilised as EITHER a 5 passenger wagon with luggage space for 5 bags OR as a people mover with a 7 passenger capacity but extremely limited luggage space. If you are unable to take the vehicle on arrival due to excess luggage then a cancellation fee of up to the full amount of the hire will be applicable.
Area of Use
Unlimited daily kilometre allowance within 200 kilometre radius of Brisbane Airport (should you wish to take your vehicle further, a one off fee of $120.00 will apply, please select this at time of booking or it will be automatically added to your final balance payable on arrival).
Taking vehicles out of the 200 kilometre area of use is not guaranteed and must be accepted by the supplier.
Under no circumstances are vehicles to be taken off sealed bitumen roadways or to leave the Mainland. In the event a vehicle is taken off road it will be deemed a breach of contract and any insurance will be considered null and void
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AGREEMENT
1. In this Agreement the following expressions shall have the following meanings
(a) “the owner” means HAPPYKEEBZ PTY LTD TRADING AS ACTION RENT-A-CAR (BRISBANE)
(b) “the renter” or hirer includes any person or person who sign this Agreement and any person whose agent signs this Agreement
(c) “the vehicle” means the vehicle or vehicles described on the face hereof or any other replacement vehicles provided to the renter by the owner.
(d) “damage to the vehicle” includes loss of and damage to the vehicle, its tyres, tools and accessories and any costs incurred by the owner in connection with the loss or damage.
(e) “the rate schedule” means the owner’s rate schedule current at the time of renting.
(f) “the excess” means the amount referred to as “excess” in the rate schedule.
(g) “the insurance” means the policy of insurance arranged by the owner for the purpose of Clause 4 covering damage to property other than the vehicle or property owned or in physical or legal custody or control of the renter or any member of his family.
Words importing the masculine gender shall include other genders and words importing the singular shall include the plural References to person shall include corporations.
2. (a) The renter warrants that he is over the age of 21 years, holds a current driver’s licence valid in the place of rental for the class of vehicle rented.
(b) The renter warrants that all particulars shown on the face hereof are correct and acknowledge that the owner relies on the truth of these representations.
3. The renter agrees
(a) (i) to return the vehicle as specified on the face hereof and to pay the owner on demand all rental, sundry charges and other monies due pursuant to this Agreement. A cleaning fee of up to $110.00 may be imposed. The renter agrees not to smoke in the vehicle or a $100.00 fee will be charged.
(ii) If it is indicated on the face hereof that payment is to be made through a credit card system approved by the owner then payment shall be made in accordance with the arrangements between the renter and the credit card system operator.
(iii) If payment is invoiced to a person other than the renter and that person fails to make payment the renter shall on demand by the owner, promptly make such payment or if a credit card imprint appears on the face hereof the owner is authorized to charge the said credit card with all charges relating to this rental agreement. In calculating the distance charges the kilometres driven shall be measured by the odometer installed in the vehicle..
(b) That no person other than the renter is authorized to drive the vehicle without the written consent of the owner provided that the renter is a company or government department the renter’s agent may drive the vehicle on the basis that that agent complies with the warranties listed in Clause 2(a) and the obligations of the renter under Agreement. The renter shall be liable to the owner for any breach or failure to comply with those warranties or obligation by the agent whether such breaches is within the scope of the agent’s authority or employment or not.
(c) To report immediately to the owner any damage to the vehicle or any accident involving the vehicle. To complete within 24 hours of any such damage or accident the owner’s Accident Report form and to comply with all request of the owner to provide assistance in any litigation or investigation relating to such damage or accident.
(d) To drive and maintain the vehicle in a cautious manner and return the vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition. Fair wear and tear expected and further agrees that the vehicle/s described on the face hereof are received in good order and in roadworthy condition.
(e) Not to use the vehicle for any illegal purpose or in any race or speed test or in contravention of any law concerning the use of motor vehicles or when the vehicle is in any way damaged or unsafe.
(f) Not to drive the vehicle under the influence of any alcohol or drug or with a blood alcohol level as indicated by analysis of the driver’s breath or blood in excess of that permitted by the applicable to the area in which the vehicle is driven.
(g) Not to drive the vehicle for the conveyance of passengers for reward.
(h) Where the vehicle is a truck, not to use it for the Transport of any commodity unless referred to on the face hereof, nor to convey any load which is incorrectly loaded or secured, or in excess of that for which the vehicle was constructed.
(i) Not to use the vehicle off road or on any other area that is not Tar-sealed or concrete.
(j) To pay all fines for traffic or other offences committed by the renter or its agent and to pay all tolls levies and other charges imposed by any law or government body, and to reimburse the owner for any fines paid or costs for any fined paid or costs incurred by the owner in any way connected with the renters use of the vehicle.
(k) To reimburse the owner any cost incurred relating to a breach of the renter’s obligations and to indemnify the owner against any liability arising out of the rent’s obligations.
(l) To pay to the owner interest at the rate of 20 per centum per annum on any amount due to the owner under this Agreement.
(m) AREA VEHICLE TO BE USED. From information supplied by the renter at commencement of hire the vehicle must only be used in the area stipulated on the front hereof. Should the renter fail to observe this stipulation he will be deemed in breach of contract and the vehicle will become uninsured and the renter will be liable to prosecution for falsely declaring his intentions on use of the vehicle. A Levy of .33 cents per km for every km travelled during the hire of the said vehicle will be charged.
4. (1) In the event of damage to the vehicle or damage arising out of the use of the vehicle then,
(a) If the renter has not breached this Agreement,
(i) subject to sub-clause (ii) he shall pay the excess to the owner. Upon such payment he shall be under no further liability to the owner for the damage to the vehicle and he shall be entitled to claim on the insurance, If the total amount of the damage to the vehicle and the damage arising out of its use is less than the excess then the owner shall refund the difference to the renter.
(b) if the renter has breached this Agreement he shall not be entitled to claim on the insurance and shall be liable to the owner for all damage to the vehicle howsoever caused.
(2) The insurance does not in any circumstance extend to the renter carrying volatile liquids, gases, explosives or corrosive materials with or without the owner’s consent.
(3) The renter’s right to claim on the insurance is subject to the terms of the insurance policy a copy of which is available from the owner and is conditional upon the renter not behind otherwise entitled to claim under another policy.
(4) In the event that damage is not covered under the insurance the renter agrees to indemnify the owner against all claims by any party for damage suffered as a result of any accident involving the vehicle, whether as a result of the owner’s negligence or however caused, subject to the same proviso as set out in Claus 6(a)
(5) The renter acknowledges that the owner shall not be bound by any representations as to the existence or extent of any insurance and that the provisions of this Agreement and the insurance Policy referred to constitute the totality of the Agreement between the owner and the renter in relation to insurance.
(6) Notwithstanding the above, the renter shall be liable to the owner for all damage to the vehicle at a point above the hood of the driver’s cabin caused by a failure to clear tow objects provided that liability shall not exceed the limit specified in relation to “overhead damage” in the rate schedule.
(7) In the event of a claim being made on the insurance it will be at the owner’s discretion to determine the portion of the unused rental value to be attributed to the insurance policy.
5. The owner may at any time for any reason retake possession of the vehicle. If the renter has not breach this Agreement, the owner shall at the time of repossession provide the renter with a replacement vehicle similar to the vehicle repossessed.
6. (a) The owner shall not be liable for any damage suffered by the renter including that caused by the negligence or default of the owner but not including defects in the owner’s title, save and except for, at the option of the owner. The replacement of the vehicle of the payment to the renter of the cost of obtaining a replacement vehicle.. Proviso nothing in this clause shall limit or vary any liability which may arise under the Trade Practices Act 1974 and Consumer Transactions Act (S.A.) 1977-3 except to the extent that liability may be limited or varied
(b) The owner shall not be under any liability for any property stolen from the vehicle or damaged while in the vehicle or left in the vehicle after its return to the owner.
7. The renter acknowledges that he has no authority to pledge the owner’s credit and agrees not to dispose of, encumber or assign any right or interest in the vehicle and not to create any lien on the vehicle from repairs.
8. Where the renter is more than one person liability shall be joint and several.
9. Waiver by the owner of any breach of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of any subsequent or continuing breach
10.48 hours notice of intention of returning early is required if refund of unused rental is to be considered. Any such refund is at the discretion of the manager and will take the form of a credit for future hirings.
11.This rental agreement is subject to final audit by the management and any pledge either verbal or in writing vary anything on the face or reverse hereof must be authorized by the manager.

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.
While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.
Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.95% credit card or debit card surcharge will be added when your payment is processed.
A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.
If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.
Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.
Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount difference between the original and revised deposit will be refunded to you. To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. We (the owners of this website) do not charge alteration fees.
Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.

Single Vehicle Excess: In the event of any damage as a result of a single vehicle incident, however caused, the applicable excess defaults to the standard excess rate as below. This excess may be applied at the discretion of management.

NB: If you hire the 7 seater SUV, please be aware that it can be utilised as EITHER a 5 passenger wagon with luggage space for 5 bags OR as a people mover with a 7 passenger capacity but extremely limited luggage space. If you are unable to take the vehicle on arrival due to excess luggage then a cancellation fee of up to the full amount of the hire will be applicable.
Area of Use
Unlimited daily kilometre allowance within 200 kilometre radius of Brisbane Airport (should you wish to take your vehicle further, a one off fee of $120.00 will apply, please select this at time of booking or it will be automatically added to your final balance payable on arrival).
Taking vehicles out of the 200 kilometre area of use is not guaranteed and must be accepted by the supplier.
Under no circumstances are vehicles to be taken off sealed bitumen roadways or to leave the Mainland. In the event a vehicle is taken off road it will be deemed a breach of contract and any insurance will be considered null and void
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AGREEMENT
1. In this Agreement the following expressions shall have the following meanings
(a) “the owner” means HAPPYKEEBZ PTY LTD TRADING AS ACTION RENT-A-CAR (BRISBANE)
(b) “the renter” or hirer includes any person or person who sign this Agreement and any person whose agent signs this Agreement
(c) “the vehicle” means the vehicle or vehicles described on the face hereof or any other replacement vehicles provided to the renter by the owner.
(d) “damage to the vehicle” includes loss of and damage to the vehicle, its tyres, tools and accessories and any costs incurred by the owner in connection with the loss or damage.
(e) “the rate schedule” means the owner’s rate schedule current at the time of renting.
(f) “the excess” means the amount referred to as “excess” in the rate schedule.
(g) “the insurance” means the policy of insurance arranged by the owner for the purpose of Clause 4 covering damage to property other than the vehicle or property owned or in physical or legal custody or control of the renter or any member of his family.
Words importing the masculine gender shall include other genders and words importing the singular shall include the plural References to person shall include corporations.
2. (a) The renter warrants that he is over the age of 21 years, holds a current driver’s licence valid in the place of rental for the class of vehicle rented.
(b) The renter warrants that all particulars shown on the face hereof are correct and acknowledge that the owner relies on the truth of these representations.
3. The renter agrees
(a) (i) to return the vehicle as specified on the face hereof and to pay the owner on demand all rental, sundry charges and other monies due pursuant to this Agreement. A cleaning fee of up to $110.00 may be imposed. The renter agrees not to smoke in the vehicle or a $100.00 fee will be charged.
(ii) If it is indicated on the face hereof that payment is to be made through a credit card system approved by the owner then payment shall be made in accordance with the arrangements between the renter and the credit card system operator.
(iii) If payment is invoiced to a person other than the renter and that person fails to make payment the renter shall on demand by the owner, promptly make such payment or if a credit card imprint appears on the face hereof the owner is authorized to charge the said credit card with all charges relating to this rental agreement. In calculating the distance charges the kilometres driven shall be measured by the odometer installed in the vehicle..
(b) That no person other than the renter is authorized to drive the vehicle without the written consent of the owner provided that the renter is a company or government department the renter’s agent may drive the vehicle on the basis that that agent complies with the warranties listed in Clause 2(a) and the obligations of the renter under Agreement. The renter shall be liable to the owner for any breach or failure to comply with those warranties or obligation by the agent whether such breaches is within the scope of the agent’s authority or employment or not.
(c) To report immediately to the owner any damage to the vehicle or any accident involving the vehicle. To complete within 24 hours of any such damage or accident the owner’s Accident Report form and to comply with all request of the owner to provide assistance in any litigation or investigation relating to such damage or accident.
(d) To drive and maintain the vehicle in a cautious manner and return the vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition. Fair wear and tear expected and further agrees that the vehicle/s described on the face hereof are received in good order and in roadworthy condition.
(e) Not to use the vehicle for any illegal purpose or in any race or speed test or in contravention of any law concerning the use of motor vehicles or when the vehicle is in any way damaged or unsafe.
(f) Not to drive the vehicle under the influence of any alcohol or drug or with a blood alcohol level as indicated by analysis of the driver’s breath or blood in excess of that permitted by the applicable to the area in which the vehicle is driven.
(g) Not to drive the vehicle for the conveyance of passengers for reward.
(h) Where the vehicle is a truck, not to use it for the Transport of any commodity unless referred to on the face hereof, nor to convey any load which is incorrectly loaded or secured, or in excess of that for which the vehicle was constructed.
(i) Not to use the vehicle off road or on any other area that is not Tar-sealed or concrete.
(j) To pay all fines for traffic or other offences committed by the renter or its agent and to pay all tolls levies and other charges imposed by any law or government body, and to reimburse the owner for any fines paid or costs for any fined paid or costs incurred by the owner in any way connected with the renters use of the vehicle.
(k) To reimburse the owner any cost incurred relating to a breach of the renter’s obligations and to indemnify the owner against any liability arising out of the rent’s obligations.
(l) To pay to the owner interest at the rate of 20 per centum per annum on any amount due to the owner under this Agreement.
(m) AREA VEHICLE TO BE USED. From information supplied by the renter at commencement of hire the vehicle must only be used in the area stipulated on the front hereof. Should the renter fail to observe this stipulation he will be deemed in breach of contract and the vehicle will become uninsured and the renter will be liable to prosecution for falsely declaring his intentions on use of the vehicle. A Levy of .33 cents per km for every km travelled during the hire of the said vehicle will be charged.
4. (1) In the event of damage to the vehicle or damage arising out of the use of the vehicle then,
(a) If the renter has not breached this Agreement,
(i) subject to sub-clause (ii) he shall pay the excess to the owner. Upon such payment he shall be under no further liability to the owner for the damage to the vehicle and he shall be entitled to claim on the insurance, If the total amount of the damage to the vehicle and the damage arising out of its use is less than the excess then the owner shall refund the difference to the renter.
(b) if the renter has breached this Agreement he shall not be entitled to claim on the insurance and shall be liable to the owner for all damage to the vehicle howsoever caused.
(2) The insurance does not in any circumstance extend to the renter carrying volatile liquids, gases, explosives or corrosive materials with or without the owner’s consent.
(3) The renter’s right to claim on the insurance is subject to the terms of the insurance policy a copy of which is available from the owner and is conditional upon the renter not behind otherwise entitled to claim under another policy.
(4) In the event that damage is not covered under the insurance the renter agrees to indemnify the owner against all claims by any party for damage suffered as a result of any accident involving the vehicle, whether as a result of the owner’s negligence or however caused, subject to the same proviso as set out in Claus 6(a)
(5) The renter acknowledges that the owner shall not be bound by any representations as to the existence or extent of any insurance and that the provisions of this Agreement and the insurance Policy referred to constitute the totality of the Agreement between the owner and the renter in relation to insurance.
(6) Notwithstanding the above, the renter shall be liable to the owner for all damage to the vehicle at a point above the hood of the driver’s cabin caused by a failure to clear tow objects provided that liability shall not exceed the limit specified in relation to “overhead damage” in the rate schedule.
(7) In the event of a claim being made on the insurance it will be at the owner’s discretion to determine the portion of the unused rental value to be attributed to the insurance policy.
5. The owner may at any time for any reason retake possession of the vehicle. If the renter has not breach this Agreement, the owner shall at the time of repossession provide the renter with a replacement vehicle similar to the vehicle repossessed.
6. (a) The owner shall not be liable for any damage suffered by the renter including that caused by the negligence or default of the owner but not including defects in the owner’s title, save and except for, at the option of the owner. The replacement of the vehicle of the payment to the renter of the cost of obtaining a replacement vehicle.. Proviso nothing in this clause shall limit or vary any liability which may arise under the Trade Practices Act 1974 and Consumer Transactions Act (S.A.) 1977-3 except to the extent that liability may be limited or varied
(b) The owner shall not be under any liability for any property stolen from the vehicle or damaged while in the vehicle or left in the vehicle after its return to the owner.
7. The renter acknowledges that he has no authority to pledge the owner’s credit and agrees not to dispose of, encumber or assign any right or interest in the vehicle and not to create any lien on the vehicle from repairs.
8. Where the renter is more than one person liability shall be joint and several.
9. Waiver by the owner of any breach of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of any subsequent or continuing breach
10.48 hours notice of intention of returning early is required if refund of unused rental is to be considered. Any such refund is at the discretion of the manager and will take the form of a credit for future hirings.
11.This rental agreement is subject to final audit by the management and any pledge either verbal or in writing vary anything on the face or reverse hereof must be authorized by the manager.

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.
While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.
Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.95% credit card or debit card surcharge will be added when your payment is processed.
A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.
If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.
Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.
Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount difference between the original and revised deposit will be refunded to you. To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. We (the owners of this website) do not charge alteration fees.
Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
